Our Trane electric filter was flaking out. HVAC guy was useless and phone support does not exist. This new filter was a squeaky fit into the Trane slot closest to the fan intake. Note for DIY - it was necessary to remove a riveted metal bump that guided the old Trane filter. Grabbing the bump with channel locks and rocking it back and forth got it out after about 50 rocks. After replacement fan motor pulled a little less current, a good sign for me. Air quality seems better but that is anecdotal.
