Q: I have a central air unit and it has the Aprilaire 2200 / 201 filter. The one currently in there is the accordion style one that you put into a plastic frame. My question is whether this one could be used instead and what I would have to do to make it fit. Thanks!

A: Yes, these are designed to replace the need for the plastic frame - should work just fine and be a lot less of a hassle!

A: Yep, the regular box filter will remove the need for the plastic frame that the accordion goes into - just set in the new cardboard frame and you are all set! Most customers find this to be much more convenient.

Q: My furnace filter model indicates Space-Gard, Model 2200 (600-1600CFM with a serial #00197379 - Res Prod Corp. I do not know the dimensions of the filter.

A: This is a replacement for the 2200 model. The only thing you need to decide is if you want the full filter (in a cardboard frame, such as this one) or if you want the 'accordion' style that you will put into a plastic frame. If you look at your current filter, just check to see if it is in a plastic frame or if it is a box style with a cardboard frame.
